Psychic Is Wild About Harry Houdini

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Harry Houdini may be turning in his grave – and headed to Broadway!

According to the Toronto Star, the famed escape artist will be the subject of a New York Broadway musical that will open in 2010.

But psychic Anthony Carr isn’t singing the potential play’s praises.

Carr – the World’s Most Documented Psychic – has been working on his own play about contacting Houdini through a musical psychic seance, and he’s thinking about suing Broadway for copyright infringement of his idea.

In his show, Celebrity Musical Seance, Carr and a band called Pauly and the Greaseballs attempt to bring back celebs like Houdini and Elvis through Carr’s psychic skills and the band’s music.

Although Houdini would enjoy seeing himself on Broadway, Carr believes the magician feels “more comfortable” being the subject of Celebrity Musical Seance.

He explains, “Houdini knows I’m in touch with the spiritual world.”

Carr is so wild about Harry that he owns the only audio copy in the world of the final seance conducted in 1936 for Houdini by his friends and family.

He’s gotten much of the influence for his show about Houdini from that infamous seance.
