Vampire Show Draws Real Blood

MODESTO, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The fans of one popular vampire TV show are bleeding with excitement.

Moonlight is returning to TV with the first new episodes since the writers’ strike, and to celebrate, and ensure that the show doesn’t die, activist site is kicking off a nationwide “Moonlight Blood Drive.”

The drive goes from April 18-27, and turns places like New York City’s Javits Center into massive blood banks, where fanatical fans can show their support by spilling their own blood – into bags, of course.

Spokesperson Barbara Arnold has already received emails from people eager to donate, and says, “We didn’t expect such an outpouring from our fans. It’s great – there can never be too much blood!”

Arnold hopes to collect as much as 3,000 pints of blood, but none of it will end up on the set.

She says, “The show uses a syrupy concoction. Real blood is better left at the blood banks.”

Moonlight airs Fridays on CBS.
