Saloon Says ‘See-Ya’ With Hillbilly Party

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A self-proclaimed “Big City Hick” is using hillbilly hijinks to say bye to her beloved bar.

Lindy Loo is a comedian who hosts country-themed “Hillbilly Hayride” parties at Hank’s Saloon in New York, and now that the bar is closing in April, Loo’s pulling out all the stops for a send-off soiree this Friday (Mar. 28).

Loo’s invited a cast of crazy characters to perform, including a traveling salesman named “Zesty Tomato,” a burlesque country babe named “Honey Harlow,” and “Cousin Christine,” a fresh-out-of-rehab karaoke singer who sings into a hairbrush.

Loo says, “It’s a carnival atmosphere – totally nuts. St. Patrick’s Day (Mar. 17) is for amateurs; the real drinkers come to our show.”

The bar doesn’t have enough space for an actual hayride, but Loo says, “We’ve got a red wagon we can fill up with hay and push you around in. It’s a step up from the wheelchair we used last year.”
