Reward A Good Spouse With Raw Fish

BOSTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Nothing says “I Love You” like a bucket of raw fish.

Sound fishy, but that’s the idea behind author Amy Sutherland’s book, What Shamu Taught Me About Love and Marriage: Lessons for People from Animals and Their Trainers (Random House), in which she applies principles of animal training to human relationships.

According to Sutherland, animal trainers are successful because they reinforce good behavior with rewards and acknowledgment, so humans should apply the same idea to prevent people in relationships from feeling neglected or unappreciated.

She explains, “You should treat your spouse like the animals at Sea World. They’re treated well, have great communication with their trainers, and when they do something well, they’re rewarded with a big bucket of fish. So you should give your spouse a big bucket of fish, so to speak.”
