Stay Out Of Tongue Trouble On Valentine’s Day

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Your tongue could cause your mate to raise a stink this Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14).

Dr. Robert Martino is the CEO of Wilson Dental Associates, and he says before you do any smooching, start doing some scraping on your stinky tongue.

He says, “It will eliminate 90 percent of your bad breath. It sounds weird, but it’ll help you tremendously. If you see what comes off your tongue, it’s sick.”

In addition to using a tongue scraper, Dr. Martino suggests regular flossing and brushing, but says quick fixes like mints and mouthwash won’t solve your breath battle.

He says, “Alcohol dries your mouth, and mouthwash is 27 percent alcohol. It’s a temporary fix, but it actually causes worse breath down the road.”

If the tongue scraping doesn’t leave you ready to smooch, Dr. Martino suggests seeing a dentist, as your mucky mouth could be a sign of a more serious condition.
