‘Crowned’ Cast-Offs Have Trouble Flipping The Script

HAYWARD, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Struttin’ their stuff wasn’t the problem for one Crowned pageant team – it was swapping tiaras.

Annette Hoffman-Walker and Alana Hoffman were the latest mother-daughter beauty queen team to be “de-sashed” and voted off Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants this past Wednesday (Dec. 19).

But according to marvelous mom, Annette, the “beauty” part of the pageant competition wasn’t the challenge, it was letting her daughter, Alana, make the rules.

In several challenges, the dazzling daughters were asked to take charge and do things for their moms, like come up with tough workout routines for them, but Annette had trouble taking orders from her 19-year-old daughter.

Annette explains, “Alana is my only child and it was really difficult relinquishing control to her. We’ve never flipped the script before – I’m the mom, I make the rules – so this was strange, uncharted territory for us. She made me jump rope in my workout routine and she knows I HATE jumping rope!”

Alana adds, “I liked making up the rules and knowing my mom couldn’t really do anything about it. I may have messed with her a little bit when I made her jump rope.”

Crowned airs Wednesdays on The CW.
