Relationship Handbooks Offer Dated Advice

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One company is selling relationship advice only a real creep would give.

Novelty gift company Archie McPhee has four handbooks with advice from the 1930s and 1940s titled How to Make Love, How to Get Along with Boys, How to Get Along with Girls, and The Art of Kissing, but marketing manager David Wahl says it’s best to ignore the advice if you don’t want to look like a sexual deviant.

Says Wahl: “The books are pretty pervy. There’s so much bad advice in them, legally and morally, it’s kind of funny and creepy.”

One book advises men to sit women on the edge of the couch so they can’t get up, and to be firm with them when making a move if they want to kiss her, holding her down if necessary.

Wahl says: “The books are unintentionally funny because they were intended as serious advice. Some of the advice is good, like staying clean and tidy by bathing daily to impress girls. That’s pretty obvious, though, unless you’re a dirtbag.”
