Ethical Candid Camera Segment Asks: ‘What Would You Do?’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – ABC PrimeTime anchor John Quinones is getting ethical and asking Americans, “What Would You Do?”

Starting this November, ABC PrimeTime will air a segment hosted by Quinones called What Would You Do?, where Americans will face ethical dilemmas while having their reactions caught on candid camera.

The news bit will tackle various tough situations, from joggers at a park witnessing a boyfriend verbally abusing his girlfriend, to dark dealings involving bigotry and racism.

Quinones explains, “We put cameras in the back of a taxi cab and have an actor play the part of a racist cabbie. Will the passengers step up and say something? Would you tell this guy he can’t talk about Mexicans, African Americans, or Arabs that way? What would you do? It’s candid camera but with an ethical twist.”

But while most of the daunting dilemmas are serious, Quinones assures there are some fun, light-hearted scenarios caught on tape too.

He adds, “We asked a few brides-to-be to tell their families that they’ve picked out their wedding dress and want to show it to them. But of course, the dress is horrific and so are the reactions! That was definitely a fun one.”

What Would You Do? premieres this November on ABC PrimeTime.
