Monster Movie Maker Gives Post-Dead Pointers

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – With Halloween around the creepy corner, one monster movie maverick has some tips for dealing with – and directing – the undead.

James Aviles Martin, the director best known for Flesh Eating Mothers and I Was a Teenage Zombie, is ditching the casket for his new dramatic film, Diega!, and Martin says working with established, living actors in a non- horror film is a whole different monster matter.

He says, “The actors in Diega! are more experienced in Hollywood. Although zombies are really underestimated. They’re actually very smart people, you just have to make sure that when you’re directing you don’t use any words they might take literally, like ‘Cut,’ or ‘Hit your mark!’”

But despite Martin’s terrifying track record, when it comes to his own Halloween plans, he isn’t scaring anyone.

He says, “I’ll be working all night. But the guys that hang out on the front stoop selling drugs are scary.”

Diega! premieres November 14.
