Mexican Musicians Crash Stateside Stages

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One band of Mexican rockers are set to take stateside stages by storm, not the other way around.

Zoe, who are touring behind their album Memo Rex Commander y el Corazon Atomico de la Via Lactea, caused a rock riot when the crowd rushed the stage at a show in Brooklyn, New York, this past July, but the band says it was all in the spirit of the song.

Bassist Angel Mosqueda explains, “It was all a very nice vibe, they just wanted to be closer to us! Luckily, it was one of the last songs, so it was okay.”

But for their upcoming show at the House of Blues in San Diego on September 19, the band isn’t quite ready for another raucous reaction.

Mosqueda says, “Our expectations are normal. We just want to have a wonderful time.”

And when the band careens across the rest of the country, Mosqueda’s sure his fans will follow, even to out of the way venues.

Mosqueda says, “In California, fans follow us, and of course in Mexico, but we played in Chicago too and it was a great surprise. Everytime you go to another country or city and you see fans, you think, ‘What happened here?’”
