Musican Brings Tunes And Tats Together

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One modern day bluesman isn’t shying away from the needle – the tattoo needle, that is.

For his Tattoo Across America Tour, singer Jake La Botz will perform in tattoo shops in 21 cities, and the former Chicago street musician is buzzing with excitement.

La Botz says, “I like playing tattoo shops. There’s no separation between the artist and audience. You can’ go hide backstage. It cuts out any rock star shtick.”

And though La Botz’s hectic tour schedule may keep him from getting a ton of new tats, he’s a straight shooter when it comes to his experience under the tattoo gun.

La Botz gave himself his first tattoo, on his wrist when he was 14-years-old, and says, “I was probably a little stoned. It kind of looks like some dirt that won’t wash out.”

La Botz’s tour begins September 15 at the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood.
