Hybrid Hype Hits The Highway

TORRANCE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Get out of the way gas guzzlers – there’s a new road warrior.

That’s the point driven home by Toyota on “Highway to the Future: Mobile Hybrid Experience,” a nationwide tour informing people about the benefits of Toyota’s hybrid technology.

The tour, which is made up of two tractor trailers housing interactive exhibits and driving simulators, rolls into the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis, Wisconsin, on August 2nd.

But it’s the information, not the air, that really needs to be cleared up.

Knight says the goal of the Toyota tour is to raise awareness. As she puts it, “People still have misconceptions – they wonder where you plug the car in.”

Toyota has even taken their clean air committment a fantastic step further by partnering with the National Arbor Day Foundation to plant more than 50,000 trees to offset the effect of their gas-guzzling tour trailers.
