Hemp Honchos Hope To Avoid Pot-Shots

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hemp’s head honchos are trying to dodge the dreaded media “pot shots.”

Vote Hemp is the nation’s leading hemp advocate, and national outreach coordinator Tom Murphy is tired of the smokescreen put up by the media when discussing hemp.

Murphy says, “In print, the occasional dig is humorous and helps break up the monotony of a story, but when it’s over the top, you end up confusing the reader and messing things up.”

While harvested hemp can be made into everything from insulation and plastic to granola bars and waffles, don’t expect any celebrity clients – like pot-friendly singer Willie Nelson – to roll up their sleeves and help squash the media munchies.

Murphy says, “Hemp isn’t sexy like marijuana. The problem with celebrities is that someone’s always looking for the marijuana angle.”
