Vanessa Williams Reveals How To Keep Your Pets Safe This Summer

KENILWORTH, N.J. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s summertime and the living’s easy – unless of course, your pet runs away.

According to the Humane Society of the United States and HomeAgain’s Proactive Pet Recovery Service, summer can be the most dangerous time for pets to run away, due to seasonal natural disasters like hurricanes and floods.

That’s why HomeAgain, with the help of Ugly Betty star, Vanessa Williams, is encouraging dog and cat owners nationwide to microchip their pets and enroll in a recovery database so they can ensure their pets’ safety.

Turns out, Williams’ one-year-old pup, Enzo, went missing for two weeks recently, and was returned to Williams safely only after a vet found the pooch and scanned him to reveal that he was microchipped with a HomeAgain device.

So, to ensure your pet’s safe return, the Proactive Pet Recovery services is a great solution, which consists of a program that includes after-hours emergency vets, a pet ID card that includes key information about your pet, and a small microchip implant that’ll make it easy to find Fido anywhere he goes.
