Resort Offers High-Flying Features

LITCHFIELD, Conn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One luxury resort is offering their guests some high-flying amenities – literally.

Winvian, which opened in late June, is a deluxe, 113-acre resort in the hills of Litchfield, Connecticut. But buckle up – there’s more than fancy soaps and plush towels here.

Each of Winvian’s 18 cottages is decidedly distinct, including the Treehouse, a two-story hideout built into a tree, and the Helicopter cottage, which features a 17,000-pound Coast Guard helicopter-turned-lounge smack dab in the middle of the room.

As managing director Heather Smith puts it, “Nothing here is traditional. We let our architects go with their creative juices.”

And if a helicopter in your hideaway doesn’t excite you, Winvian caters to your every need, from hot-air balloon rides to Formula 1 race car rides.

Smith adds, “Winvian was a labor of love. No corners were skipped. It’s pretty spectacular.”

But don’t let your checkbook fly away – Winvian rooms start at $1,450 per night.
