Singles Should Be Socially Conscious To Have A True Summer Of Love

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – San Francisco’s notorious “Summer Of Love” was almost 40 years ago, but singles are still looking for the same social qualities in a partner as they did in the 1960’s.

According to a survey by the online dating site, there’s a big correlation between attraction and social awareness in the dating world.

For example, 64 percent of singles say they like to know about a date’s social values before they consider romantic compatibility, while nearly 70 percent of daters feel that a romantic prospect should be in sync with them on social issues such as the environment or racial and religious tolerance.

Additionally, 58 percent of singles claim to be active with social causes such as environmentalism, education, homelessness, and poverty, while 45 percent of people would like to pursue social activism during a date by either building a home for the poor, providing food for a soup kitchen, or reading to kids.

Finally, singles think the most interesting socially active celeb couple is Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, followed by Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, and Bill and Melinda Gates.
