Treat Williams Flies High

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor Treat Williams loves life on the big-screen, but his real high comes from flying his personal airplane.

That’s the word from Williams – best known for his roles on Everwood and The Deep End Of The Ocean – who enjoys piloting his plane and commuting to work by soarin’ the skies.

Says Williams: “I’ve been flying for 33 years and I’m a total airport rat. It’s much more than a hobby, it’s my stress reliever too.”

And while Williams often flies solo, he admits there’s one person he likes sharing the cockpit with.

He explains, “My 15-year-old son will pilot with me sometimes. He likes it, and he’s a natural, but after about 10 minutes he’s like ‘Dad, Can we go home now?’ He’s not obsessed with flying like I am – he’d rather be in his room, working on his music.”

Still, the dashing dad likes to make flying a treat for his son by finding some common ground in the skies.

Williams adds, “On longer flights, we rock out to our iPod up there and listen to music. That way, we’re both happy.”
