Friend of Marilyn Monroe Shows Her Stuff

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A woman who grew up with Marilyn Monroe has plenty of her memorabilia, but one present the famous blonde received is making the Japanese look like Indian-givers.

Dolores Hope Masi, who knew Monroe since she was 6, not only has memories of Monroe, but also many of her personal effects, including a Japanese-made jacket that was given to Monroe by the emperor of Japan.

The jeweled jacket has 50,000 crystal beads, and Monroe let Masi wear it to her Senior Prom.

She hasn’t worn it much since, but it still has a close place in her heart, even though the chancellor of Japan has strongly hinted that his country would like it back.

So far, Masi has refused.

However, she is letting Monroe’s fans purchase other items that belonged to the actress at an auction taking place in Los Angeles on May 31, one day before the 81st anniversary of Monroe’s birth.
