Thats just what golf guru and author Rick Lipsey did when he brought the game of 18 holes to the holy hills of the Kingdom of Bhutan in the Himalayas.
Says Lipsey: We went trekking up their most sacred mountain and set up little holes with sticks and toilet paper.
And Lipsey wasnt the only one who enjoyed teeing off in the peaks.
In fact, he says the little kingdom tucked away in the middle of nowhere fell in love with the game so much it affected their lifestyles.
As Lipsey puts it, They measure the well-being of the people there with Gross Domestic Happiness instead of Gross Domestic Product.
Lipsey tells all about putting in the Himalayas in his book Golfing on the Roof of the World (Bloomsbury) due out June 8th.
