Dallas: Gay-Friendly Destination?

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Key West and Miami have always been homosexual hot-spots, but one TV show has set out to highlight some out-of-the way gay getaways.

PinkPlanet: A Global Search for Gay Culture – which premieres its third season tomorrow (May 16) on Sextv – explores gay-friendly destinations across the country and world.

In Dallas, host Bill Mantas was surprised to find thriving “gay-borhoods” and even an openly lesbian Latina sheriff marching in the gay pride parade.

In Mantas’ words: “Gay life exists everywhere, it’s just a matter of how suppressed it is.”

Other fabulous finds include Glasgow, Scotland, where the art and design school keeps the flamboyant flag flying, and Philadelphia, whose motto as “The City of Brotherly Love,” rings loud and proud for the city’s gay crowd.
