Battling To Restore Pac-man’s Honor

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A disgruntled NFL player caused some damage to the cartoon Pac-man’s image this year, but now the world’s first ever Pac-man competition is hoping to restore the gobbler’s honor.

Earlier this year it was game over for Tennesse Titans cornerback Adam Bernard “Pacman” Jones when he was booted from the NFL 2007 season after allegedly slamming a stripper’s head into a stage and biting a security guard’s leg at a strip club.

Now Jones has a shot at fixing his image as well as his inoccent moniker’s image by participating in the Xbox 360 “Pac-man” World Championship which runs until May 9.

Even spokesman Jeff Bell invites Pacman Jones to get involved and believes his participation will “restore his image as the truest of Pac-men.”

Bell encourages Jones to send in a video for the Pac-man FANatic contest, where entrants can show their love for the video game hero.

But Jones must be creative, as some Pacman lovers even send Pac-man prose.

Bell describes the poetry as an “ode to Pac-man and what he’s done to improve all humanity.”

But Bell says that most importantly the name of Pac-man will be upheld through the competition.

Bell says, “Let no one take away from the true image of Pac-man.”
