According to a new survey by Tequila Don Julio, nearly 69 percent of Americans are more likely to slurp a fresh fruit margarita on May 5, than suck down a green beer on March 17.
In fact, nearly 66 percent of Americans have celebrated Cinco De Mayo and about 64 percent did so last year.
The tequila tradition should continue this year as well, because 60 percent of Americans plan to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, and most of those plan to drink at least one margarita or tequila cocktail on that day.
But while margaritas are the drink of choice on May 5, Americans are divided on how to drink them: 51 percent prefer them frozen and 48 percent drink them on the rocks.
