‘Cory In The House’ Actor Willing To Sleep In A Cardboard Box For Video Games

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Some teen actors spend their weekends hitting up the hottest clubs, but not one of the stars of Disney Channel’s Cory In The House.

Actor Jake Thomas first found success as Hilary Duff’s little brother on Lizzie McGuire and now plays a gadget guru on Cory, but admits he’d rather wait in line for new video games then go out in Hollywood.

In fact, the 17 year-old’s idea of a perfect weekend was when he and some buddies camped outside a Best Buy for 32 hours to score a Nintendo Wii gaming system.

Says Thomas: “I was like, ‘OK, it’s the weekend, the Wii is coming out, I have nothing to do – let’s get in line!”’

He says that it got so crowded cramming with all of his friends in a little tent that, at one point, he even slept in a cardboard box to keep warm.

Thomas says it was exciting to finally have the system in his hands, and that the group “played it for like an hour and we’re all like ‘Dude this is so fun...I feel so sick!”’ before they passed out.

Cory In The House airs Fridays.
