No ‘Bed-Ins’ This Year For Yoko Ono

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This Wednesday (March 21) marks the 38th anniversary of the infamous “Bed-In For Peace” demonstration by newlyweds Yoko Ono and John Lennon in 1969, but Ono has no plans of reliving her bed-in days again.

That’s the inside scoop from Ono, who says her Bed-In days have been far and few since her former Beatles husband, John Lennon, died in 1980.

Says Ono: “I’ve thought about doing another bed-in demonstration since John died, but I realized that bed-ins alone wouldn’t be fun.”

She says, “Bed-Ins were mine and John’s idea together and it will always remain OUR thing.”

Ono adds, “ What would I do? Have a cardboard cut-out of John lay with me during a bed-in? That would be ridiculous and I’d rather maintain the honor of our demonstrations from decades ago.”

Instead, Ono plans on quietly celebrating her bed-in anniversary by simply “remembering the happiness it brought” to her.
