Customized Romance Novel Company Steers Focus To NASCAR Fans

PORTLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A company that makes customized romance novels is steering its focus to NASCAR fans. is a Canadian-based company that writes romance novels that are personalized towards each customer, down to name and physical description.

Obviously, the novels are hot sellers around Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) but publisher Mike Pocock says the company’s newest book, Racing Hearts ( is designed to cash in on the Daytona 500, which takes place on February 18.

That’s why the book features a male race car driver who falls in love with the daughter of a former stock car racer while in the middle of the competitive world of NASCAR.

The worlds of racing and romance might seem far apart but Pocock says he avoided any potential roadblocks by including both car crashes and romantic clinches.

In addition, the climax has the leading lady driving in the big race when her man gets injured. Then the final scene has them “doing the deed” on the hood of a car.

Although each copy of Racing Hearts is designed to mention the names of the customers, no real NASCAR racers are mentioned because of rules regarding trademark infringement.
