Your Super Bowl Party Could Result In Super Lawsuits

CASTRO VALLEY, Ca. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Planning a Super Bowl party?

If you’re not careful, it could result in super lawsuits.

That’s the shocking news from insurance attorney Orlando Frasca, who warns that if you serve booze at the shindig and one of the guests gets in a drunk driving accident on the way home, they and their victims could sue the pants off you.

It’s not just booze use that’s a problem.

Frasca says in this sue-happy society, you could slammed with a lawsuit if your guests get food poisoning, or have a heart attack right after eating greasy chicken wings or nachos.

The risk will be even greater in Chicago and Indianapolis, which Frasca predicts will have wilder parties than other cities.

There are some things you can do to minimize your liability, such as watching your guests’ alcohol closely, and making sure you only invite people you know – and know won’t sue you.

Frasca also suggests getting a personal umbrella insurance policy, which gives you more insurance coverage than normal, to protect you in case anything happens at the party.
