Thats because a collection of 35 old glass eyes will be auctioned off in Waco, Texas, and organizers are looking at bids close to $1,000.
The glass peepers, which come in a leather case, date back to 1910 and come in all different colors, from brown and blue to some really weird amber-colored ones.
As organizer Sam Franks puts it, I guess they just wanted to make glass eyes to fit anyones liking.
While the eyeballs are best as a collectors item, Franks believes they could still function if someone wanted to use one as a replacement eye today.
He says, They are handmade and very similar to the glass eyeballs made today.
Franks believes the auction will attract American history buffs as well as optometrists.
