Robin Leach: Bringing Class To America

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Champagne wishes and caviar dreams are just two things that make Robin Leach the classiest man in show business.

And his British accent doesn’t hurt either.

The former Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous host says Americans tend to use British voiceover actors in shows that highlight rich people because “Americans have anointed us [British] with the knowledge to know what’s right when it comes to good taste.”

That explains Lifestyle rip-off shows like The Fabulous Life on VH1 which features an almost dead on Leach- impersonator.

Says Leach: “There is only one Leach, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Although Leach is the go-to guy when it comes to class in America, he admits the British don’t find Americans particularly classy.

He adds: “British tend to think Americans are frivolous with their money. It’s a lot of new money, as opposed to the British who like to be secretive and store their money away.”

The Surreal Life Fame Games begins January 7 on VH1.
