Professional Snapper Fights Frostbite For New Year’s Eve

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Some folks will do anything for their art – even risk frostbite on their fingers.

That’s what professional finger snapping Bobby Badfingers is doing on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), when he performs on Fox’s New Year’s Special.

Badfingers – who was one of the finalists on America’s Got Talent earlier this year – will be performing four numbers on the show, including a snappy rendition of “Auld Lang Syne.”

It sounds like a snap but Badfingers figures it could be potentially career-damaging.

As he puts it, “If it’s raining, it will be hard to get traction. If it’s cold, I’ll have a hard time keep up my SPMs – that’s ‘snaps per minute.”’

If Badfingers can just get through Sunday’s special, it looks like a good year for him. He’s currently planning a DVD on the history of finger snapping, and a proposed animated comedy like Happy Feet that he says will feature snapping turtles instead of dancing penguins.
