It’s A Bumper Crop Year For Annoying Animated Animals

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Oscar nominations won’t be out until next month but it’s a good bet they won’t be honoring things like the year’s best fake butt or the most annoying animated characters.

However, Movies.com film critic Dave White says it was a bumper crop year for annoying animated characters.

If forced to choose, he says Barnyard wins, in part because the cows had grating personalities and were depicted as male, despite having udders and teats.

White also gives high marks to the prosthetic buttocks worn by Penelope Cruz in the Spanish-language film, Volver. He says it’s ironic that it “takes fake fat” to make the tiny actress look like a real woman.

Meanwhile, White says the indie drama, Trust The Man, may have been one of the year’s worst films but he praises the vomit scene featuring Julianne Moore because, as he puts it, “It’s like she’s commenting on the action around her.”

Finally, White says Woody Allen deserves an award just for the way he keeps the camera focused on Scarlett Johansson’s breasts throughout the comedy, Scoop.
