Actress Hopes To Get Out Of Grocery Store Alive

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Grocery stores are a hotbed for crime – or at least that’s one former Jan Brady found out while filming her new television show.

Jennifer Elise Cox – who played Jan in the Brady Bunch movies – is now working on 10 Items Or Less that is set and filmed in a real grocery store.

Cox says she learned how dangerous local grocery stores can be during the shoot.

Says Cox: “I couldn’t believe the theft problem – people were stealing and bringing guns in – it’s a dangerous business.”

She says even innocent looking places like the Trader Joe’s in her neighborhood are a hotbed for assault and battery.

She explains: “The customers look like hippies but they are so aggressive – they like hit you in the aisles with their shopping carts. I’ve seen fights in that place and the parking lot is a mess – it’s crazy.”

10 Items Or Less premieres tonight (Nov. 27) on TBS.
