Squeezable Cuisine Makes Playing With Food Alright

SANTA ANA, CA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Playing with your food may be fun, but squeezing your food is even better.

That’s straight from the mouth of Malcolm Kushner, author of a new cookbook, California Squisine: Healthy Food That’s Fast, Fun, And Squeezable For Kids (Reed) that features recipes for dishes that are squeezed out of a tube, plastic bottle or cake frosting bag.

Kushner says his “squisine” recipes are perfect for “picky eaters who need healthy, fun food in their lives.”

Some popular recipes include “simulated sushi,” which Kushner says can be made by blending peanut butter and jelly in a squeeze bottle and squirting it on bread.

He says, “Kids can then roll up the bread and cut it into makeshift sushi slices.”

But the strangest squeezable dish may be something called “barf sauce,” a mixture of bananas, orange juice and vanilla yogurt that Kushner claims looks amazingly like puke.
