Thats because theres a home video contest going on now through Monday (Oct. 16) to see who has the most creative Thanksgiving Day greeting.
The lucky winners will have an opportunity to see their amateur video skills on a national TV commercial for Butterball Turkey.
Spokesman Paul Hirsch says anything goes in the shout outs but entries with cussing, large company logos and nakedness will more than likely not make the cut.
Instead he says hes looking for anything honest and emotional that will really strike a chord with American audiences.
While the contest is open to anyone, he says he hopes college students and military officers who wont be able to get home this year take advantage of the opportunity to say hi to those they love.
