It’s Gonna Be A ‘Rocky Week’ In Philly

PHILADELPHIA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Next week is going to be a Rocky one in Philadelphia – literally.

That’s because the city fathers are going to be celebrating the Sylvester Stallone films with a variety of events including an unveiling of an 8-foot, 6-inch Rocky Balboa statue on Friday (Sept. 8) at its new home at the base of the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Other events scheduled for “Rocky Week” include a boxing match on Wednesday (Sept. 6) and a Rocky and Adrian lookalike contest on Thursday (Sept. 8).

But the highlight of the event may be on Saturday (Sept. 9) when Stallone is Grand Marshall for something called a “Hero Thrill Show” that will also feature appearances by Rocky alum Burt Young and Stallone’s brother, singer Frank Stallone.
