Flirting With Boss Leads To Choice Cubicles

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Although flirting with the boss can have its downside, some people believe it’s the surefire method to getting the best cubicle in the office.

That’s one of the wacky workplace tips offered in a new book, How To Survive The Real World: Advice For College Graduates (Hundreds Of Heads) and comes from a woman in Belleville, Illinois, who calls herself “K.R.”

She says a little workplace flirtation with her superior ensured her desk would be near people she liked, but insists, “It wasn’t like I was going out with my boss. I just made friends with him.”

Other tips for getting ahead in business that aren’t taught in business school include...

  • Don’t scrimp on the quality of paper used for your resume; printing it on cream-colored paper rather than white will make it stand out from the others.

  • A woman in Vancouver, British Columbia, suggests bringing a box of donuts to every job interview.

  • If someone asks you during a job interview to name your worst quality, tell them you’re “sometimes a little too detail-oriented.”

  • Finally, never date someone you work with unless you work in a bar, where the soap opera is part of the fun.
