Couch Potatoes Favor Mariska, Keifer for Emmys

DALLAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Emmy Awards aren’t until Sunday (Aug. 27), but America’s couch potatoes have strong opinions on exactly who should take home awards.

According to a survey by Blockbuster Online, 36 percent think Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay deserves the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series, and 34 percent say Keifer Sutherland’s work in 24 makes him the man to beat in the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.

Meanwhile, 47 percent want Debra Messing to get the Emmy in the Outstanding Actress in a Comedy, for her final season on Will & Grace, but it’s a bit of a toss-up in the Outstanding Actor in a Comedy category: 27 percent favor Tony Shalhoub for Monk, 25 percent want Charlie Sheen to win for Two And A Half Men, 24 percent think Steve Carell deserves it for The Office.

Finally, 26 percent say House star Hugh Laurie was “robbed” of a deserved Emmy nomination and 12 percent say the same about Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo.
