Dancer Plays It Cool Around Cameras

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Reality television villains always get more attention than the good guys, but So You Think You Can Dance sweetheart Martha Nichols refuses to dance to that tune.

Nichols, a contemporary dancer who was eliminated Thursday (July 20) from the show, admits her reserved nature may have had an effect on the voting process.

Still, she says she has no regrets with her low-key approach to the competition, even though she’s no shrinking violet in real life.

As she puts it, “I’m normally a lot louder and sarcastic than I have been portrayed on the show. I just didn’t want to be ‘that bitch’ on a reality TV show.”

Nichols speculates that her quiet ways may have led to her demise on the show, but understands that typecasting is the nature of the reality TV beast.
