Love And Hate A Reality For Former ‘Chappelle’s Show’ Sidekicks

HARLEM (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Donnell Rawlings and Charlie Murphy helped create some of Chappelle’s Show’s most memorable characters, but a frazzled Dave Chappelle 86’d his highly-rated comedy-variety show after just two seasons.

Rawlings and Murphy, however, haven’t soured on their new-found comic fame.

In addition to co-hosting the Lost Episodes of Chappelle’s Show special this Sunday (July 9) on Comedy Central, Rawlings and Murphy are currently reuniting to shoot their own new pilot for the cable network.

Rawlings says the untitled project will be a reality-comedy show based on his real-life, love-hate relationship with Murphy.

The simple premise of the show, says Rawlings, is how he and Murphy “argue all day long,” so much so that people around them can’t tell if they’re “really friends or foes.”

Rawlings says he’s ready for “all the responsibility AND headaches” that heading up his own hit show might bring, joking:

“Especially if the result is a check for six or seven million dollars – I’ll have all I need to hire the best doctors to treat my aching head.”
