‘Snakes On A Plane’ Song Winners Not Privy To Script

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The winning bands in a contest to write songs for the upcoming thriller Snakes On A Plane knew nothing of the movie’s script.

That’s according to Jonathan Snipes, the frontman for one of two winning bands, Captain Ahab, in a contest to write original music for the Samuel Jackson-starring film.

Snipes says the competing bands weren’t given “any material from the movie’s script,” and that all he knew going in “was the title and that it starred Samuel Jackson.”

But, as Snipes puts it, “You don’t really need more than that to go on.”

Snipes says his band’s winning entry, “Snakes On The Brain,” will be featured in the end-credits of the film and on a CD-single put out by his own label – and that his band has already begun performing the song live.
