World’s Largest Camera Is Unveiled Today (June 14)

IRVINE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but what if it’s three stories high?

The world’s largest camera will be unveiled today (Jun. 14) at the historic El Toro marine base in Irvine, California.

The colossal camera takes up an entire airplane hanger and will take a picture of the whole base.

But don’t expect things to develop quickly.

Photographer Jerry Burchfield – one of six shutterbugs who will be snapping the shot – estimates it will take more than a week for the world’s largest photograph to be developed.

The final photo will be more than three stories high and Burchfield admits he’s not sure where it will be displayed.
