Moving Magazine Hitting IPods, Mobile Phones

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It may sound strange, but there’s a new magazine out that contains absolutely no writing or photos.

FLY is a new multi-sensory DVD “moving magazine” that features documentaries, interviews, cartoons and fashion editorial films from contributors like Calvin Klein, Phillip Glass, John Malkovich and other emerging artists.

FLY’s president Nima Abbasi says this cutting edge medium is not for the VHS crowd.

In his words, “We’re taking a step forward. This is something of the future.”

The “moving mag” can now be “read” on iPods and mobile phones too via free clips from iTunes and films available for download through the magazine’s website,

Educators might get their panties in a bunch that this no-text medium promotes illiteracy, but Abbasi says, “We don’t see this as replacing anything. We’re providing another choice.”

In fact, he says, “The issue after next is based on quotes. We’re working with people who are very much into reading.”
