Fans Given Chance To Write Episode Of ‘The L Word’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’ve ever thought you could write a better TV script than the writers themselves, a community-driven media marketing company is letting fans of Showtime’s The L Word put their pen where their mouth is.

A company called FanLib is launching a writing contest where fans are given an assignment to write one scene for a special episode of The L Word.

The submissions are voted on online by viewers, and the winning entries are compiled into a whole episode explaining what the characters have been up to between this season and last season.

The contest runs until March 31 at and while the final script may or may not be taped, it will be turned into a digital magazine.

This could be starting a trend. FanLib co-founder David Williams says the company is in talks to bring similar writing challenges to other shows.
