‘Will & Grace’ Regular Has Gay Old Time In One-Man Show

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor Leslie Jordan has fun playing closeted queen Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace but he really has a gay old time doing his one man show.

Jordan – who has also appeared on Boston Legal – is the author and star of Like A Dog On Linoleum, which he says is about his various experiences, either as a gay man from the south or dealing with Hollywood hustlers.

As he puts it, “It’s a gay man’s search for a God of my own understanding,” and says one of the pieces – titled “I’m Not A Bottom. I Just Play One On TV” – is about what it’s like to play homosexual characters in Hollywood.

So far, Jordan has performed the show mostly at AIDS benefits where, as he puts it, “they trot me out like a show pony,” but he really wants to attract “the straights” to it.

In fact, he insists, “the little blue-haired ladies love it when I say ‘c■■■sucker.’”

Jordan will be performing Like A Dog On Linoleum in San Diego on Nov. 26-27 and plans to film it in Dallas next year. In the meantime, his next appearance on Will & Grace airs Nov. 17.
