The late 1980s punk metal band spent this past summer on a reunion tour to promote the re-release of its first three albums.
Although the band members thought the audience would be comprised of old fans, drummer Emmett Jefferson Murph Murphy III says hes surprised at how young the audiences are.
As he puts it, 80 to 90 percent of the people attending the shows are between 18 and 21 and they tell us they heard about the band in nursery school.
The reception by the younguns bodes well for further Dinosaur Jr. shows but Murph as he is called by the fans isnt saying anything one way or another.
In his words, I never forecast too much. I dont want to jinx it.
