Odds Are Odds Book Will Be Interesting

ATLANTA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – What are the odds women over the age of 75 are still freaks between the sheets or the chances of surviving a ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel?

Atlanta author Roger Schlaifer has the answers – they are 1 in 4 and 80 percent, respectively – and can be found in his new book, Odds’R: The Odds On Everything Book (Bantam), which is a compilation of nearly 300 oddball stats.

It took Schlaifer six months of extensive research to dig up surprising stats and findings in topics such as death, sex, marriage, sports, and pop culture for the book.

Other interesting stats he found include...

  • Seventeen percent of 1950s farm boys had sexual contact with farm animals.

  • Two out of three people throughout the world have never made a phone call.

  • There are 3 to 1 odds that a soap opera actor’s character who has done the nasty is not married.

  • Finally, folks in their 40s have sex, on average, 64 times a year.

Odds’R: The Odds On Everything Book hits stores tomorrow (Oct. 25).
