Graffiti Queen Claws Her Way To Success

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – After 16 years of painting illegal graffiti, a female “writer” who calls herself CLAW is finally letting the world get a good look at her signature spray-painted claws – and her face.

The New York native is featured in the graff-writing documentary Infamy – currently playing at RESfest film festivals in different cities around the world – and says, “It’s the first time I’m showing my face. It’s a big deal.”

It must be, because not only has CLAW been tagging incognito for all these years, she admits she’s spent “zero dollars” on spray paint throughout her career. In her words, “Suckers buy paint.”

CLAW insists she’ll always love graffiti, but has realized it might be time to put down the spray paint and focus on art shows; her new fashion line; being fashion director at Swindle magazine, and designing jewelry, sunglasses and more.

She says it’s time to “step out of the shadows and grab what I can get,” but admits being a jack of all trades might include being “a part-time graffiti writer.”
