Travel Writer Wins Prize For Too Much Information

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Travel writers are supposed to supply lots of information in their writing, but one woman found out there’s a limit to what people want to know.

Nancy Chuang recently wrote about a trip to Syria for the travel website and figured she should mention something about her experience in a Turkish bath.

Instead of just mentioning names and addresses of the bath houses, Chuang went into excruciating detail about her masseuse, “an extremely large, extremely jolly, extremely naked woman” who gave her “a human mammogram” while shouting, “MAAssage MAAAssage MAAAAAssage!”

As a result, Chuang has won a dubious honor: IgoUgo’s “Too Much Information” award.

Chuang doesn’t think she shared THAT much info because, as she puts it, “humorous travel writing usually involves interacting with the locals.”

She received $50 for the honor but is exchanging it for frequent flyer miles so she can fly back to the Middle East for more massages.
