Songs Celebrities Don’t Want At Their Weddings

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When you’re planning the music for your wedding, sometimes what isn’t played is just as crucial as what makes the playlist. Especially if you’re a celebrity.

That’s what editors at Modern Bride magazine discovered when they reviewed the music choices at some recent celebrity weddings.

When Gwen Stafini tied the knot with Gavin Rossdale, she hired a disc jockey because she thought it would be hard for the groom to hear a band other than his own.

And when Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker married the former Shanna Moakler, they forbade the DJ to play anything by Michael Jackson and put the kibosh on “YMCA” or “The Electric Slide.”

Michelle Branch banned “The Macarena” from her reception as well as what she calls “any lame ’80s- hair, guitar-shredding power ballads.”

Finally, LeAnn Rimes insisted that her own music be left off the playlist at her reception.
