Female Singer Stands Up To David Bowie

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s not easy to stand up to David Bowie, much less his microphone stand but it’s a challenge relished by singer Keren DeBerg.

DeBerg, whose songs have appeared on shows like Scrubs, Everwood and Laguna Beach, recently recorded her new album, Gone, in a studio previously used by the six- foot-two Bowie.

In fact, the microphone used by the Thin White Duke was still in place when she arrived.

Since DeBerg is only five-foot six-inches, you might think she would ask the engineer to readjust the stand – but not DeBerg.

She is such a big Bowie fan that she insisted on standing on a chair and singing at his “level.”

It was a tall order to sing on a chair but DeBerg believes that reaching for Bowie’s heights made her performance better.
