Crocodile Hunter’s Kid As Fearless As Dad

BEERWAH, Australia (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and that’s certainly the case with Bindi Irwin, the seven-year-old daughter of Steve Irwin, star of The Crocodile Hunter TV show.

Bindi says she’s not afraid of any animal, and shows off her lack of fear by wrangling a huge slithering Burmese Python in a new TV commercial for the Australia Zoo, where her Dad works.

The pint-sized wild child – who is the spitting image of her croc hunting Dad – says she could get along with just about any animal, because, as she puts it, “When you grow up with the animals, you sort of know them.”

Bindi’s Dad wasn’t on the set when she filmed her commercial, but she says she was proud that she did it all on her own, “...without advice [from mom and dad].”

So what was Dad’s reaction when he saw his little girl handling wombats, possums, snakes and cheetah cubs on TV? Bindi says, “He shook my hand and said ‘Well done.’ ”

Bindi’s commercial is being aired in Australia and can be viewed at
